Don't these Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites look incredibly tempting? There's a lot of hype going on in the cookie dough shops in the USA. People are lining up for this cookie dough, raw! At first I didn't understand what was so great about it. Then I'm upPinterestalways got stuck on different creations with cookie dough. I felt a mixture of mild disgust and fascination. Since I am a curious person, nothing stopped me and I created my own creation. My Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites are of course also great, but not quite as bad as the American recipes. Here I'm serving you the defused version of the Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites. I made the raw cookie dough without eggs and gluten-free. With this recipe you can choose whether you make the Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites gluten-free or not. Since I didn't want to use so much industrial sugar and flour, I worked with coconut blossom sugar and some almond flour.

  • 75 g Chocolate chips
  • 220 g Salted pretzels (gluten-free)

SWAP INGREDIENTS

Vegan options and lactose-free:Instead of butter, use coconut oil or margarine instead of condensed milkvegan Dulce de Lecheor a caramel syrup. Coconut blossom syrup also tastes great. The chocolate chips and couverture are available to buy vegan (dark). If you can't find any, you can also chop vegan and dairy-free chocolate. This is a great alternative.Variant with gluten:Here you take around 130 g of flour of your choice.Salt pretzels:Depending on the size, you need 60 - 120 pieces. The gluten-free ones are smaller than the normal ones. I had both versions here. In both cases you need around 200 - 220 g. Just check how heavy the packs are with the salted pretzels.Replace almonds:You can use tiger nuts, they are nut-free. Cocoa nibs also taste very good instead of chopped almonds.Chocolate and couverture:Here you can use the chocolate of your choice. No matter whether white, whole milk or dark - all types taste good.

Instructions

  • Beat the butter and sugar at the highest level with the whisk of the mixer until fluffy. This takes about 5 minutes.

  • Add condensed milk, vanilla essence and continue beating until everything is well combined. TIP: If you don't know what this sweet condensed milk is. Here's a photo: I like to buy the left of the two "caramel". It's so good! For the dairy-free, lactose-free and vegan version, please check the ingredient alternatives.

  • Now cool the pretzel bites. The quickest way to do this is in the freezer for 10 minutes or in the fridge for 30 - 40 minutes.

  • Melt the couverture in a water bath. Now, one after the other, dip the Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites halfway into the chocolate coating, let them drain a little and place them on the baking paper to dry. If you're in a hurry, you can put the pretzel bites in the fridge again for 10 - 15 minutes.

Hello Steffi 🙂 I have now recreated the delicious parts with low fructose content. I used the dulce de leche and replaced the coconut blossom sugar with glucose. It tastes fantastic! Super delicious 🙂 Thanks for the great idea

Hello Steffi,
Funny recipe – I would really like to try it again! But unfortunately there are no sensible gluten-free pretzels where I like the ingredients, such as palm oil-free. Too bad 🙁
Kind regards, Anja

If I understand correctly - you buy the pretzels, make the dough, dip them in the dough and chocolate - do you bake the whole thing again? Looks fun and is a salty-sweet snack. Still forbidden for me. The idea is good.
